1. Introduction
Veludurthi Technologies ("Veludurthi Technologies", "we", "us" or "our") is a technology product company that builds intelligent software products, SaaS platforms and automation solutions, including its flagship product Akshara360, an intelligent platform for educational institutions. This Privacy Policy explains how Veludurthi Technologies collects, uses, discloses and protects information in connection with our website at veludurthi.tech and any Veludurthi Technologies software products and services (together, the "Services").
This Policy is written to be read alongside our Terms & Conditions, Cookie Policy, and, where applicable, our Data Deletion and Acceptable Use Policy pages.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to:
- Visitors to the Veludurthi Technologies website;
- Individuals who contact Veludurthi Technologies through our contact form or email;
- Organizations and individuals who become Veludurthi Technologies customers ("Customers"); and
- Where relevant, the customers, students, parents, staff, or other end users of a Veludurthi Technologies Customer ("End Users"), to the extent Veludurthi Technologies processes information about them on a Customer's behalf.
This Policy does not apply to the practices of companies Veludurthi Technologies does not own or control, including Meta Platforms, Inc. ("Meta"), WhatsApp, payment processors, or any other third-party service a Customer chooses to connect to or use alongside Veludurthi Technologies's Services. Those third parties are governed by their own privacy policies and terms, which Veludurthi Technologies does not control.

4. Information Veludurthi Technologies collects
Veludurthi Technologies collects the categories of information described below. Not every category applies to every visitor or Customer — the information collected depends on how you interact with the Services.
4.1 Account and business information
If you or your organization becomes a Veludurthi Technologies Customer, we may collect the Customer's business or institution name, business address, and information about authorized users of the account.
4.2 Contact information
When you use the Veludurthi Technologies contact form or otherwise contact us, we collect your name, email address, organization, the category of your inquiry, and the content of your message.
4.3 Authentication information
Where a Veludurthi Technologies product requires a login (for example, a future or current Akshara360 account), we may process credentials or authentication tokens necessary to verify identity and secure access. Veludurthi Technologies does not store plaintext passwords.
4.4 Billing and payment information
If and when Veludurthi Technologies offers paid subscriptions, payment details (such as card or bank information) are collected and processed directly by our payment processor(s) — see Section 11. Veludurthi Technologies does not store full card numbers on its own systems.
4.5 Usage information
We may collect information about how the Services are used, such as pages visited, features used, and interaction timestamps.
4.6 Device and browser information
We may collect technical information such as browser type, operating system, device type, and screen size, as reported by your browser.
4.7 IP address
Our hosting and infrastructure providers process IP addresses as a normal part of serving web requests and maintaining security logs.
4.8 Cookies and similar technologies
See our Cookie Policy for a full, accurate account of what Veludurthi Technologies currently uses. As of the effective date of this Policy, the Veludurthi Technologies website uses only first-party local storage for theme preference and a one-time interface hint — no advertising or analytics cookies are set by Veludurthi Technologies.
4.9 Communications
We retain records of communications you send us, including support requests and inquiries.
4.10 Support information
If you contact Veludurthi Technologies for support, we collect the information needed to diagnose and resolve your request.
4.11 Integration data
If a Customer connects a third-party service to a Veludurthi Technologies product (for example, a communication channel, calendar, or storage provider), Veludurthi Technologies may process the minimum information required to establish and operate that connection, such as account identifiers or access tokens.
4.12 Meta and WhatsApp-related information (where applicable)
Veludurthi Technologies does not currently operate a live WhatsApp Business Platform integration. This section describes how such information would be handled if and when Veludurthi Technologies enables this capability, so that this Policy remains accurate as our product evolves. Where a Customer connects a WhatsApp Business Account to a Veludurthi Technologies product, Veludurthi Technologies may process:
- WhatsApp Business Account and phone number identifiers;
- Message content and metadata sent or received through the connected number, to the extent necessary to provide the feature the Customer has enabled;
- Delivery and read-status information reported by the WhatsApp Business Platform;
- Message template identifiers and content submitted for approval and use;
- Contact information the Customer has uploaded or synced for the purpose of sending business communications; and
- Authentication and access tokens required to call Meta's APIs on the Customer's behalf, and data received via webhooks configured for that integration.
This information would be received from, and transmitted to, Meta/WhatsApp systems under the terms of the WhatsApp Business Platform and Meta's own policies, which govern that portion of the data flow independently of this Policy.
5. Information customers may process using Veludurthi Technologies
A Customer using a Veludurthi Technologies product (for example, an educational institution using Akshara360) may input, upload, or generate information about its own End Users — such as students, parents, teachers, or staff — within the product. This information is submitted by, and under the control of, the Customer, not Veludurthi Technologies.
Important distinction: This Policy separately describes (a) information about Veludurthi Technologies Users — people who interact with Veludurthi Technologies directly as visitors, prospects, or account holders — and (b) information processed by Veludurthi Technologies on behalf of its Customers as part of delivering the Services to End Users. For information in category (b), the Customer determines the purposes and means of processing, and Veludurthi Technologies acts as a service provider or processor under the Customer's instructions and applicable law.
6. How Veludurthi Technologies uses information
Where Veludurthi Technologies is acting on its own behalf (in relation to Veludurthi Technologies Users), we use information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services;
- Respond to inquiries and provide customer support;
- Process transactions and manage billing, where applicable;
- Improve and develop the Services;
- Maintain the security and integrity of the Services;
- Communicate with Customers and prospective customers about the Services; and
- Comply with legal obligations.
Where Veludurthi Technologies processes information on behalf of a Customer (in relation to End Users), we use that information solely to provide the contracted functionality of the relevant product, as instructed by the Customer.
7. Legal bases for processing
Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis for processing personal data, Veludurthi Technologies relies on one or more of the following: performance of a contract with you or your organization; our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Services; your consent, where sought; and compliance with legal obligations. Where Veludurthi Technologies processes End User information on a Customer's behalf, the Customer is responsible for establishing the appropriate legal basis for that processing.
8. How Veludurthi Technologies shares information
Veludurthi Technologies does not sell personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:
- With Service Providers who process information on our behalf (see Section 9);
- With Meta/WhatsApp, where a Customer has enabled an integration that requires such data exchange (see Section 10);
- With payment processors, to complete transactions (see Section 11);
- To comply with a legal obligation, court order, or lawful government request;
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of Veludurthi Technologies, our Customers, or others; or
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection under a policy at least as protective as this one.
9. Service providers and sub-processors
Veludurthi Technologies engages third-party Service Providers to help operate the Services, which may include cloud hosting, email delivery, and (where applicable) payment processing providers. These providers are authorized to use information only as necessary to provide their services to Veludurthi Technologies and are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations appropriate to the service provided.
10. Meta and WhatsApp integrations
Veludurthi Technologies is an independent software provider. Veludurthi Technologies is not part of, and is not endorsed, sponsored, or certified by, Meta Platforms, Inc. or WhatsApp, except where Veludurthi Technologies has actually obtained a specific, verifiable partner status, which will be stated plainly and only where true.
Where a Veludurthi Technologies product enables a Customer to connect its own WhatsApp Business Account or other Meta-related service, the following applies:
- The Customer is responsible for having the appropriate rights and authority to connect that account, and for complying with Meta's and WhatsApp's own terms, policies, and commerce/business messaging policies.
- Data exchanged through such an integration flows between Veludurthi Technologies, the Customer, and Meta/WhatsApp's own systems. Meta/WhatsApp's handling of that data, once received by their systems, is governed by Meta's own privacy policy and terms, not by Veludurthi Technologies.
- Veludurthi Technologies processes the categories of Meta/WhatsApp-related data described in Section 4.12 solely to provide the functionality the Customer has enabled, and does not use that data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
- The Customer remains responsible for obtaining any consent required from its End Users before communicating with them via WhatsApp or any other channel, and for the lawfulness of the content it sends.
This section will be updated to reflect the actual scope of any Meta/WhatsApp integration once it is implemented in a Veludurthi Technologies product.
11. Payment processors
Where Veludurthi Technologies offers paid products or subscriptions, payments are processed by third-party payment processors (for example, Razorpay, where enabled). Payment processors receive the payment information necessary to complete a transaction directly from you or your Customer account, subject to their own privacy policies and security standards. Veludurthi Technologies does not store complete payment card details on its own systems.
12. Cloud hosting and infrastructure
The Veludurthi Technologies website and associated services are hosted using third-party cloud infrastructure providers. These providers process information (including IP addresses and request logs) as part of delivering hosting, content delivery, and related infrastructure services, under their own security and privacy commitments.
13. Analytics
As of the effective date of this Policy, the Veludurthi Technologies website does not use any third-party analytics or tracking service (such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar tools). If Veludurthi Technologies adopts an analytics provider in the future, this Policy and our Cookie Policy will be updated accordingly before that provider is enabled.
14. International data transfers
Veludurthi Technologies and its Service Providers may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where such transfers occur, Veludurthi Technologies takes steps intended to ensure information continues to receive an appropriate level of protection, consistent with applicable law.
15. Data retention
Veludurthi Technologies retains information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Contact form submissions and related correspondence are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to address the inquiry and for our internal record-keeping. Where Veludurthi Technologies processes End User information on a Customer's behalf, retention is governed by the Customer's instructions and our agreement with the Customer, subject to applicable law.
16. Data deletion
You may request deletion of your personal information by following the process described on our Data Deletion page. Certain information may be retained where required for legal, security, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes, as described on that page.
17. Security
Veludurthi Technologies takes reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and Veludurthi Technologies cannot guarantee absolute security.
18. Data breach and incident handling
If Veludurthi Technologies becomes aware of a security incident affecting personal information, we will take reasonable steps to investigate and address the incident and will notify affected Customers and, where legally required, relevant authorities and individuals, in accordance with applicable law.
19. Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law and your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, and to request a copy of it in a portable format. Where Veludurthi Technologies processes your information as a service provider on behalf of a Customer, you should also direct requests to that Customer, who controls the data.
20. Data subject requests
To exercise a privacy right described above, contact Veludurthi Technologies using the details in Section 26. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request and will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
21. Children's data
Veludurthi Technologies's website is not directed to children. Where a Veludurthi Technologies product (such as Akshara360) is used by an educational institution and may involve information about students who are minors, that information is submitted and controlled by the institution as Customer, which is responsible for obtaining any consent required under applicable law (including from parents or guardians where required) before providing such information to Veludurthi Technologies.
22. Business and customer responsibilities
Where a Customer uses Veludurthi Technologies to process information about its own End Users, the Customer is responsible for:
- Having the appropriate rights and, where required, consent to submit and process End User information;
- Complying with applicable privacy, data protection, and communications laws;
- Complying with Meta's and WhatsApp's policies where a Customer connects such a channel;
- Ensuring the lawfulness of messages and communications sent through the Services;
- Not sending prohibited, abusive, or unsolicited communications; and
- Responding to data subject requests from its own End Users where the Customer is the controller of that data.
23. Third-party links and services
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services, including Meta, WhatsApp, and payment processors. Veludurthi Technologies is not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
24. Cookies
Details of the cookies and similar technologies used on the Veludurthi Technologies website are set out in our Cookie Policy, which accurately reflects what is currently implemented on this website.
25. Changes to this Privacy Policy
Veludurthi Technologies may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
